Major renovation affecting the entire ground floor (entryway, kitchen, living room and powder room).

Following water damage, the clients—a couple and their daughter—contacted us to help rethink and optimize the layout of their ground floor.
The former kitchen was smaller and enclosed, leaving the clients with limited space when entertaining guests. In the proposed layout, we relocated the laundry room, which was adjacent to the kitchen, to the basement, allowing us to maximize the kitchen’s size. We also created a large opening between the dining room and kitchen to create a more open and inviting space.
We also specified a hidden, trimless door to the powder room on the fireplace wall in the living room, preserving the clean look of the wall while creating the effect of a secret room.

For the materials, quartz was chosen for the countertops for its easy maintenance and its natural stone-inspired pattern. The polymer and wood-effect laminate cabinetry complement the contemporary, minimalist style the clients were looking for.
